Using "inspect accessibility properties", I can see that the clear ad is listed at 1250 x 2500 pixels, scaled down 50 percent. That is a lot larger than the requested 300 x 600 px. Unfortunately, my ad is done running, so I can't tell if there was a difference. I have no way to know if the online newspaper makes the webp conversion, or if the other advertiser provided it. It was not offered to me as a file option, only jpegs. Bummer.

I just posted an ad with photo and text to an online newspaper, and the specs required were really low. They wanted a jpeg, 300x600pixels, no larger than 75 KB. The text looked predictably awful, so they said their art department would reduce it for me, but it looked just as bad. There is small text, often in a color, on another solid color, with some white text on a solid color. In rotation with my ad is another, that has 6pt type that looks immaculate. Some is dark on white background, but some has white text on a solid color, much smaller than mine. Their art department swears the file specs are the same, but I have never seen a jpeg that crisp. Any ideas what the secret might be? Thanks!

I use Photoshop daily, but also frequently use InDesign and Illustrator. Those original 3 programs used to be available as a Creative Suite package. I don't work as much as I did, and don't want 40 programs for whatever it costs now. Is anyone else interested in a writing campaign to Adobe for this small OG package as a subscription for $20/month, similar to Photoshop/Lightroom?

Hi, Most people I know do not want or use the all-app plan you currently offer. Please consider offering smaller groupings, the way you do with Photoshop and Lightroom. You used to offer a "classic" combination of Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator, and that is still what most people I know use. People depend on these apps, and if they're not in a high-volume business the subscription price is too high. $20 is a reasonable monthly fee for the 3 basic apps. Thanks.

I've put together a folder of images to send, and like to do a Bridge slideshow to see how they'll appear. Most images look very sharp, just as they appear when I open them in their apps or Preview. But a few present as really soft, even though they were processed to the same specs. These same images look fine when viewed outside of Bridge. I'd love to know what's causing this, but more importantly, I am concerned that the folks I'm sending this to will view it with Bridge and have the same issue. I've never had this problem before. I'm using old CS6. Thanks.

Thanks, PECourtejoie. So dear community: Don't take your ACR workflow settings for granted! Import as smart objects when possible (if you have bad camera sensor dust problems, as I had, just do the corrections on a transparent layer, not a duplicate layer). Good luck!

I foolishly wasn't paying attention, and processed a bunch of RAW images in ACR as 8-bit. I did a bunch of work on them and saved them in Photoshop (they were not imported as smart objects). If I change the mode to 16 bit on the saved files in Photoshop, can I reclaim the bit depth? Or is that info gone? Do I need to start over with the original RAW images? Thanks.

I have the same problem, but only with pdf portfolios of images. I've removed and reinstalled the NPAPI version, but still no images. Flash works fine online. I've read everything!

Well, I tried reducing the photo from 300 ppi to 150 ppi, and the white spots were just as bad but the image was worse. I increased the noise setting to 100 (from 50) and saw no change in the spots (they do appear in different places each time, so it's definitely not something in the photo). I reduced colors to 75 from 85, and tried "abutting" mode instead of "overlapping", which was worse. The paths are pretty crazy, I can't really tell where the spots are. And since the white spots aren't actually "fill", I can't figure out how to select them (and if I could, is there a way to fill them back in with the surrounding color?) Illustrator is not made for photographer brains! Thanks for any suggestions.

Thank you both! The original tiff image was around 50 MB. I will experiment with a lower resolution. Does the resolution of the original file have a big impact on the accuracy of Image Trace? I want this to be as close to a photo as possible and still be scalable. Thanks for the direct selection tip.

Hi. After a high fidelity photo image trace, I have quite a few missing pixels, or maybe they are white artifacts. Any ideas? These are not on the original tiff document. I don't use illustrator often; any suggestions how to clean these up? Is there an equivalent to photoshop's rubber stamp? Thanks. Screenshot attached.

Hi Bill. I feel a bit stupid, because the one thing I did not try was simply exporting my InDesign file as a high-quality print PDF. It looks great. I've never been so mislead by presentation view...I suppose this is telling me it's time to update? I will try the combination ai file you suggested to see if it changes the appearance of my InDesign doc, just to see. Thanks for all your help with this.

Thanks, Bill. Maybe I will try that...will it become a new Illustrator document? I know very little about using ai. Will it maintain layers? Though it may not matter, my text goes on top. Any idea why this is happening? I saw an old post that was never answered, where someone had place 4 illustrator images in InDesign, and one was pixelated... Thanks for all your time with this.

The original crowd image is 8.5 x 11.5 inches @300 ppi, and after image trace I enlarged it 200 percent in InDesign. The original hand/mouth image is 11 x 14 inches @ 300 ppi, and after image trace I REDUCED it 50 percent in InDesign! I am stumped. Thanks.
